“Founded in 1866, the ASPCA was the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. Our mission, as stated by founder Henry Bergh, is “to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.” The ASPCA works to rescue animals from abuse, pass humane laws and share resources with shelters nationwide.”
We are so so grateful! FOUR more dogs will be freed from their chains and will live the rest of their lives in a large, safe, fenced-in yard, built by the volunteers of Dogs Off Chains.

Quick Change Oil and Lube, in Pittsboro, does so much to support DOC. The owner, Roy Fesel, gives us a percentage of their sales on special days; participates in fundraisers and car washes to help DOC earn money for our cause; and is always ready to help in any way he can. It’s a great place to get your car inspected, have your oil changed, and a thorough check up for your car…..no appointed needed.
Thanks so much, Roy!
